Dennis Quaid stars as Jim Morris, who 15 years ago blew out his shoulder pitching fast balls, as he put aside his Big League dreams and settled in a small Texas town teaching high school chemistry and coaching baseball. But in 1999, Coach Morris made a bet with his team -- perennial losers -- that if they won the district championship; he would try out for the Major leagues. The bet proves incentive enough for the team forcing Jim to live up to his end of the deal. Despite the fact that he practically gets laughed off the tryout field, Jim Morris brought the heat in this extraordinary story of a man who discovers it's never too late for dreams to come true.
