GANGS OF NEW YORK is director Martin Scorsese's epic drama set against the backdrop of 'Five Points' a dark corner of the city in 1865 known as the center of vice and chaos. Into this frontier of corruption arrives 'Amsterdam', played by Leonardo DiCaprio, who has come to Five Points to hunt down 'Bill the Butcher' - played by Daniel Day Lewis, who years ago killed his father. It's here that he meets 'Jenny', a passionate young woman with a penchant for stealing men's hearts and their possessions, played by Cameron Diaz. This is the story of a young mans search for honor, vengeance and the courage to remake his life.
